Our courses are specifically designed to be fun and challenging but not to overburden students with theory. We achieve this by starting you in the boats on dry land and getting you to practice a technique. Then we get you on the water putting that technique into practice. The instructor is there to help and encourage, but you have to find the skills to achieve the task. Towards the end of the session we play some games that reinforce the skill that has just been learnt. when we get back ashore we review and discuss the new skill and introduce the theory behind it.

Course type:

Level 1 - Start Sailing

None

Aim: By the end of this course, delegates will be able to sail a boat on all points under supervision and in a controlled environment.

Course content:

The focus of this course is to equip delegates with the basic knowledge required to get them sailing independently. The course is broken down into 4 practical sessions and 1 theory session.
